RTP, N.C. (July 29, 2011)—North Carolina agricultural biotechnology company BioResource International, Inc. (www.briworldwide.com) announces today that Dr. Patrick Biggs has joined the company as an animal nutritionist. This is the first of several positions that BRI will add based on 2011 sales projections.
“We are pleased to add Patrick to the BRI team,” says Giles Shih, Ph.D., chairman and CEO of BRI. “As BRI expands its capabilities and product lines, his technical skills and industry experience will be a significant asset.”
In this new role, Biggs will drive new ventures in product research and development, as well as design and manage animal feeding trials. He will also serve as a contact point for technical support of BRI’s animal nutrition products.
Biggs holds his Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in animal science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has co-authored 11 peer-reviewed articles on poultry nutrition.
Prior to joining BRI, he served three years in the formulations and technical support division of an Illinois feed company designing and testing poultry diets.
