Sustainability

By most estimates, the global population is expected to double by 2050. In order to meet the food needs of an ever-growing population, food production must become more efficient and effective, with minimal long-term impact on the environment.

By harnessing the natural power of enzymes, BRI is helping to make food production more sustainable, both from an economic and environmental perspective. And as food production becomes more sustainable, then the livelihoods of individuals in those communities improves as well.

When all is said and done, it is more than just producing a market-leading enzyme that adds value to customers worldwide. We are also passionate about helping to produce and distribute food for the current and future generations of consumers, whether they are school children in our local community or families who live in impoverished communities around the world.
BRI is a longtime supporter of the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a non-profit organization in Raleigh, NC that redistributes perishable foods to the local community.
On the global front, BRI supports Heifer International, an international non-profit organization that works with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth through gifts of livestock and training.
