With over 40 years of combined research experience and numerous patents to our credit, the BRI team is dedicated to bringing science-based solutions to growing agricultural and industrial markets around the world.
Leading the Way in Discovery & Development
We lead the way in state-of-the-art biotechnology research, both in-house and in partnership with leading research institutions and universities. We are deeply committed to rigorous research, transparent and ethical conduct, and the highest standards of quality. If you are too, we are always open to discussing potential collaborative research projects involving poultry/animal feed enzymes.
If you are a researcher and have some interesting research projects to share with us, we want to talk with you.
Here are two examples of collaborative research projects in which we have recently been engaged:
Previous studies with Versazyme®, in collaboration with the Dutch animal research institute CIDC-Lelystad, have demonstrated that enzymatic inactivation of prions, the infectious agent responsible for BSE (Mad Cow Disease), is feasible. With grant support from the FDA and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, research on this scientifically important discovery resulted in a major research publication and an issued patent. | Phytase reduces the amount of exogenous phosphorous needed in animal diets by making plant-based phosphorus more available from feedstocks such as corn and soybeans, thereby reducing costs and pollution. BRI is now collaborating on a project to develop a next generation phytase with superior heat stability and durability in the animal's digestive tract. |
